Scores upates 1/31

Re: Scores upates 1/31

Yep. Got him square in th back against the boards. Actually I think he called boarding. Some SNC fans complained because a Cfb on Adrian earlier was just a 2 but both were good calls
The major on SNC was a decent call but I'll admit I was giving it to Olson because he had missed an extremely obvious double elbow to the head about 15 seconds before the Adrian goal.

Who could imagine that slaughter ? Some of the big boys went down tonight: Adrian, Plattsburgh, Norwich, Hobart, Utica, did I miss anyone ? Babson eeks out a tie and Williams slithers by Conn 1-0.

You beat me to it, Admiral. Huge ties and huge upsets all over the place. Polls will be really interesting on Monday.

Norwich and Babson tied for 1st place in the ECAC, although Norwich has the advantage with the 1-0 Babson defeat at Fenway a few weeks ago. Both teams better be on the look out for NEC, they are playing excellent hockey right now. I also think that tonights game was a little "cleaner" for NEC... in the past I think they played more of a "goon" game than other teams and tonight they looked more skilled. Congrats NEC.

I don't know if it was the camera angle and/or it being set up so even with the ice, but NEC's rink looked so small and narrow. Does anyone know if it is the smallest rink in the ECAC? I thought Plattsburg's rink was small, but NEC's looked like they were playing "half court". I believe Norwich struggled with that especially in the 1st period.

Most awful thing about tonight's game?... Norwich's powerless play and extra attacker advantage (or disadvantage???) in the last minute of the game. I just can't figure out why they continue to pass, pass and pass, instead of of shooting and crashing the net.

It is so easy for all of us fans to analyze the game as we watch it. Despite my criticism, I am super impressed with the Norwich team. They are a group of highly skilled individuals who are learning to play as if they were one. They just need time to develop together, to work out the kinks and this is happening right before our eyes. This couch coach believes that this team is worth cheering on and I thank them for another season of entertaining and exciting hockey.
