The full name is Nittany Lion Icers - Icers for short. Next year the varsity team will be called the Nittany Lions.

Either way, it was a great game between two pretty good teams. Blue Devils outshot the Icers 30-24.

Bottom line they have built pretty fast it would seem, Freddy is not a bad team....

Well they are going to be a varsity Division I team next year.

A Penn State education and a new hockey program has to be a HUGE draw for kids that are tweeners between D-I and D-III. They are going to get good fast.

Remember Pegula dropped $90 million to have Penn State start the two programs. They aren't going to leave any stone unturned.
