A piece of glass just popped out next to the Plattsburgh bench. Needless to say, there is a delay now as they fix it. At least it didn't break, so getting it off the ice was easy.

The only advantage is this quick weather burst which is causing havoc in this area now has more time to pass by before I hit the road.

I went to 42 games last year, quite a few this year, and quite a few more in my years at UMD and Oswego. I have *never* seen a pane of glass break or fall out, although one did break during warmups before I got to a rink last year.

In person, I saw it happen at Geneseo once, and somewhere else, but I can't remember where. Maybe at RIT.

Which, by the way, is the only time I ever saw anything like that happen at Geneseo...

non hockey related: it's Feb 5th and blizzard conditions in Plattsburgh, we are also experiencing THUNDER and LIGHTENING!

I just drove back home from the city through a whiteout. It's pretty bad out there right now.

I live between Saranac Lake and Plattsburgh and it is down right NASTY out. Glad I am not the only one who heard/saw thunder and lightning. Crazy stuff.
