There were matching penalties plus a game misconduct to Fanning (Bowdoin) so they were skating 5 on 4. I assume the mix up has something to do with that.

Also, that is the 2nd game this season that MacCormack had 2 shorties in a game. Well done

Was there a penalty before then? Matching penalties + a game misconduct does not equal skating 5x4

I hope that someone will fix it because it's pretty amazing to score 2 short-handed goals in 2 games in a season.

Bowdoin Williams and Amherst are now all tied for first in the NESCAC but Williams has a game in hand. They play Midd at home on Tuesday to even the games played.

Im not quite sure what the calls were but Fanning was sent to the locker room. I don't think there were any other penalties although I could be wrong about the penalties being matching. It could have been two separate calls.

Penalty at 14:03, matching penalties (+ misconduct) at 16:46, goal by MacCormack at 17:03. Unless the time on the initial penalty is wrong (which does happen), that's a 4x4 goal, not shorthanded.

Except if you had watched the game, you would know that it was 5 on 4 and definitely a short-handed goal. I think that perhaps Fanning was given a second minor that did not make it into the boxscore but Bowdoin definitely was playing a man down.

The penalty at 14:03 was on Hamilton and from what I remember that penalty had expired. There may have been an error on the refs part because I was at the game and it was 5x4 when he scored.
