The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Re: Saturday 12/12 Scores etc. The calm before the exams.
6-5 Stout sweeps UWRF on the road.... Best game in the NCHA tonight for sure. If you didn't watch it, you missed out.. My heart is about to give out. Check the box score to get an idea of what went down....
I have just returned from the Bowdoin-Colby game. What a great game in a beautiful rink. Goaltending appeared to be the difference tonight as the Polar Bears again outshot the Mules, but McKinney was huge as he turned aside scoring opportunities for Bowdoin to provide the Mules with a two goal lead for most of the night. Bowdoin held the edge in shots and power play chances, but could not capitalize on the man advantage. Also several rushes into the offensive end for Bowdoin were negated by untimely offsides. Nerland, in my opinion, let in at least one soft goal which may have proved the difference since the Polar Bears climbed back to within one with about 6 minutes left in the game. They actually appeared to have scored the equalizer as time expired off a scramble in front of the net following an icing induced faceoff with about 8 seconds left. The red light came on, but the goal was clearly waived off by the official standing adjacent to the net. Bowdoin did not protest very virgorously, so I am assuming the right call was made.

Williams lost 6-1 to the US Under 18 team. (unless the US team scored another with 2:30 left in the game) Williams was greatly outmatched, but they never gave up. I think this game will help them through the rest of the year.
