Really not that bad...WNYO post game says 9 in the 2nd and 3rd periods combined so only 1 in the first. Thats a biased ear listening to the game, I could have sworn it was OSU-15, HOB-5 but oh well, past is past...good luck on the finals!

Does anyone know what's become of Scott Barchard (G) of Tufts. He's been in three games this season, his stats have dropped off from the last two years, and he's not listed on their recent game rosters. He had some outstanding performances last year and I was hoping to see some great stats for him in 2010-11. Thanks.

I bet oz keeps #1, but loses some votes

Its hard to tell where they will lose votes but I'm sure they will be number 1 even if they do lose a few. St. Norbert was off this week but suffered a loss last week. Norwich just lost to Castleton today. MSOE lost to St. Thomas last night but defeated them today. Williams the lone undefeated team then plays tomorrow...not that undefeated means much. If they lose to anyone...somehow I would guess it would be St. Norbert because they didn't play and that never means anything. I'd expect to see at least 19 votes go their way though and maybe Hobart will be ranked or get some votes? They have been playing very well.

Oz deserved to lose, they played really sloppy, too many turnovers. Jones played well, but the loss of "brick wall" beckwith took its toll on the team, they had very little cohesion. Didn't help the refs missed alot of calls against Hobart and stuck it to oz. Would have been alot closer w/o the bogus calls, but from what I saw, and it pains me to say it, hobart deserved the w.

This is pretty much the story in a nutshell. Hobart plays real well at home and Oswego was unfocused and sloppy, and Jones gave the shooters a lot of room which equals the perfect storm for a loss.

I'm sure it would, but if the people making these decisions were in attendance at the Icebox tonight, I would have to think they would change their mind. Lakers looked the same as the last few games, and dug themselves a terrific hole to lose by too. Sharing first with Norbert would be a best case scenario, in my opinion, but if they're in some kind of a funk too...I don't know what to think of for the poll. All I know is Oz is not top-team material right now.

Hobart should get a nice package of votes with their recent string of successes.

Also, not sure what has been happening the past week, but the scoreboard survived only the first period, and when it went haywire, it consistently did exactly the same thing.

I love how Oswego fans are complaining about the refs...I counted maybe 1 call that shouldn't have been to the Lakers but thats it. And don't try to make people forget the fact that an Oswego player gave a nice two hand shove in the puck into the boards causing the player to hit his head against the boards HARD and there was no call.

Hobart also had a bogus penalty when on the power play when the one player was carrying the puck and the other player who was behind the net tried to switch sides and crashed into the Oswego player chasing the puck, and the Hobart player made no attempt to try and interfere its just a tight fit behind the net.

Also Oswego deserved much of the penalties for their style of play. Some are calling it chippy while others say dirty. I say the latter as they were head hunting as soon as they went down 2-1.

With the backup goalie in net, this team is in a lot of trouble as any strong team that they face will be able to light him up hard like Hobart did.
