Never thought it would go down this way. The age old lesson of lying to protect yourself instead of coming out with the truth as soon as possible bites you in the backside. There would've been some initial pain if it was taken first, but I think Joe Pa still would have his job.

Honestly, I don't know if anyone is even still at work.
Some of their coverage is no doubt borne out of a desire to carry water for PSU/the Big Ten, but I think a decent bit of it is honestly because they really don't have anything in the way of honest to goodness reporters. Just largely has been coaches and a bunch of college kids.

classic power struggle. they tried to get him to go years ago and he still had enough support to simple say no, I'm not leaving. over the last couple of days he lost authority and the board wrested control from him. the premptive I'll resign at the end of the season didn't work.
