That's nothing, I had a guy sitting next to me who remarked that a good high school team could beat Sacred Heart. Nah, don't think so bud.

better yet, can he talk lucia down from the roof of mariucci after the goofs miss the ncaas again?

Can he talk you UND fans into leaving our thread alone? I believe one of the 10 commandments said something along the lines of thou shall not covet anything that is thy neighbor's.

I feel the Gopher program has a coach who has gone out and proven he has the ability to take a team and actually win it all when it counts. It removes that gnawing season-long doubt that,when it all comes down to the final test,your team's coach may just not have what it takes to finish the job. That must be awful.

Must be tough to have a choker coach who can't win the big one.

At least we know ours can and will again.

I admit, if it were a 2-0 game or something, I'd be a bit worried. 9-0? I'm very proud. That's what SHOULD happen when MN plays a team like SH.

6-0 final

Nice job this weekend by the Maroon & Gold against a team they should dominate.

Most of the Freshman have looked good and have fit right in, Marshall is going to be a heck of a D for the Gophers.

The real test comes next weekend up in Duluth, I will savor this weekend though and crack another Oktoberfest. :)

We're too busy trying to keep them out of ours to worry about keeping them out of yours. :D

While fans can't judge too much based upon the opponent, they did what they were supposed to do. When was the last time fans could say that on a positive note?

Patterson while not tested much, did make some really nice saves this weekend as well.

Grats on the 2 shutouts.

We haven't seen blowouts like these to start a season since '02, and I don't believe any Gopher team over the past 3-4 seasons would have dismantled even a bad team in this fashion, so yes, I'd say this is a good sign.

Thankfully, a real stiff test comes next weekend, so we'll have a far better idea of what this team can do.
