Russian Invasion of Ukraine

Quisling.

WASHINGTON, March 6 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump's administration is planning to revoke temporary legal status for some 240,000 Ukrainians who fled the conflict with Russia, a senior Trump official and three sources familiar with the matter said, potentially putting them on a fast-track to deportation. The move, expected as soon as April, would be a stunning reversal of the welcome Ukrainians received under President Joe Biden's administration.

The planned rollback of protections for Ukrainians was underway before Trump publicly feuded with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy last week. It is part of a broader Trump administration effort to strip legal status from more than 1.8 million migrants allowed to enter the U.S. under temporary humanitarian parole programs launched under the Biden administration, the sources said.

Ukraine and U.S. agree to 30-day ceasefire during their talks in sunny Saudi Arabia, with resumption of U.S. intelligence sharing and aid to Ukraine, assuming Russia agrees…something tells me they’re, um, not.

It's again a smart play by Zelenskyy. It paints Putin as the bad guy once again if Putin declines. Also paints all the boot kicking Republicans with the same brush for claiming that Putin wants peace then having to back pedal on it when Putin declines.

Trump really is a useful idiot if you know how to play him.
Everyone knows how to play him. You just tell him he's the greatest person who ever lived and all his ideas are brilliant.

And then you offhandedly mention something that would benefit you, how people would love if he'd do that, and make him think he came up with the idea all on his own.

Or, you offer him a shitload of money.

Wait so we moved the worst-case scenario for Russia from possibly (if very unlikely) losing all of Ukraine to getting to keep some of Ukraine, and that only made them want to try harder to get all of Ukraine? Who would have thought that, other than anyone with a basic understanding of human reasoning?

Man, this first day of the Trump administration just keeps going and going......

I know the first day isn't over yet, 'cause there still seems to be a war going on.
