RPI vs. UAF 10/17/09 (Brice Alaska Goal Rush)

Re: RPI vs. UAF 10/17/09 (Brice Alaska Goal Rush)

UAA wins. :(

You mean UA_. The retaliatory penalty that RPI took at the end of the game cost them. I also thought that Greenhams hand was over the line with the puck. When RPI had a breakaway at the end of regulation, that was SO a penalty on UA_, but again it wasn't called. RPI got hosed.

Re: RPI vs. UAF 10/17/09 (Brice Alaska Goal Rush)

The Alaska tournaments are designed with pre-determined matchups both nights so the two teams coming from the lower 48 get both games exempt.

If not, then if the two Alaska schools played on day 2, the other two teams would have to count their game against the 34 game limit.

Oh, and I don't know what the hockey theme music is. I didn't pick it. I did know the old music.

Sounded like a good game. 18 members 27 guests on this thread. Great to see such interest after 1am. Only 10pm for me. I have been balancing this game and the 13 inning Yankee game (4-3 NY) Thanks for the reports from all.

It was changed? It was, however, quite a long time ago that I recall the subject having come up before.

Sounded like a decent RPI effort-I went off to watch a little Yankees and then for some reason had trouble getting logged back in to post so I turned it off. We have a long history of getting hosed by the refs but getting a tie against a good team like UA shows a lot of progress. This season should be a lot of fun.

Considering the outcome, I am glad that I gave up after the second period.
The tie against another ranked team bodes well for the team, but scoring one goal in two nights does not.
Defense is playing very well and as I have always said, defense wins championships. However, defense with no offense wins nothing.
I would hope for a much better offensive output next weekend.

Re: RPI vs. UAF 10/17/09 (Brice Alaska Goal Rush)

Refrain from drinking the legendary UAA “blame the ref” kool-aid. Excuse numero uno in their own match-ups, and just to alluring to pass up for any game the Nooks are involved in. Legendary.

RPI looked good. Took it to us the first. Closer to even but advantage RPI in the second. The Nooks were more desperate in the third and played that way. You represented well. A good game with two solid teams. Anyone who follows the game could care very little about winning the tourney. We’re trying to prepare for our conference match-ups and playing a team with your talent will help us down the road against Michigan, Notre Dame, and Miami. Good luck with your season.

Remember, beer, not kool-aid.

And just so a couple of you can rest easier...or not.
