The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
A win is a win - but the third period had some bad and some good. The bad - they showed almost no killer instinct and allowed UV M to control play most of the period. Two weak penalty calls (I never saw what interference Klee did. The last penalty was also kind of iffy after 55 minutes of play. The good - the very good - Watson was a wall. He virtually stopped everything and some of those shots were tough and screened. he seems to have his act together and w enow coul dhave 2 goalies who we can all on.
RPI wins 3-2.
Not a very good third period. They gave Vermont every opportunity to steal this game.
Watson was very good and looks like he has a great glove. Never looked shaky at any time during the game. Played with confidence.
I liked what I saw from him.
They played well for the majority of this game, which is good. Just need to play a better 3rd period to put the game away. Watson looked good. I said when he came to RPI that he had the potential to be a #1 in the future, and I standby that.
I was working so I only saw segments of the third period but we looked too passive. However, a win is a win and to paraphrase Bill Belichick, “We’re on to Army.”
RPI will face an Army team that will be playing their second of back-to-back games. Penn State, apparently making adjustments to their schedule on the fly, will be playing at West Point on New Year's Day.
