Title should read RPI@Vermont or Vice Versa. Perhaps the further home game we have played from Troy in a long time! (and yes, I know we have been listed as the home team at some neutral sites). We lose all home advantages which probably includes last change of lines on the ice.
Moving this game is simply insanity. There is no justification on a medical basis. Cases of COVID (mostly Omicron) are increasing everywhere. Yes Vermont has less cases the NY state but the rate of increase is comparable and the greatest increase by far in NY is the areas around NYC. Besides, the onerous rules imposed at the HFH probably makes that far more sterile than a trip to Vermont by bus followed by a game at another venue that is probably not as strictly locked down. Makes me wonder what the data shows for COVID among all those college hockey players who were able to play last year or this year without much restriction.

Many good points as always, Doc.
You’re right, moving this game is insanity, but if it wasn’t for Coach Smith making a call to Vermont’s coach to switch sites this would have been cancelled completely. Better to play on the road then not playing at all.
A reminder to all that game time is now 2 PM. Radio or TV coverage?

There is tv coverage. Go to the UVM hockey web site and you will find it there.
