RPI @ Union 11/12/10

Re: RPI @ Union 11/12/10

how bout them campus police? refs? players? timekeepers? welcome to ECAC (union) hockey
ik i saw RC and possibly FD08 they can relate to the nice union cops plopping with the rpi fans and kicking people out

What a power trip those guys were on. I was right there with that group and we had rent-a-cops coming up and calling RC a "d-bag" to his face for having the audacity to stand up and cheer. They spent the entire night telling us to sit down (even though the entire section was RPI fans and nobody's view was being blocked) and shut up every time we cheered, while the Union fans across the way stood and swore all they wanted. Union was already high on my list of least favorite places to visit (along with Lynah) but at least at Lynah the STAFF aren't the ones being the biggest *****s.

I was the kid with the bell in the section next to you guys in the RPI Jersey.....My dad (Jstadts) was irate between the refs and the cops taking a seat in our section...... did you see anything wrong with a goal? i had a special finger held up on my way out :P
Would love to see our "cops" sit aming the Union fans tomorrow night but we can actually use class and recognize a hockey rink from a church

We didn't see anything wrong from our viewpoint. It was shot in from the near side and hit the back of the net. Kincaid definitely didn't make a stop, or have it covered, anything like that. Talking to a gent after the game who was standing behind the net he said Kincaid was sliding laterally to make the save and the shot went right between his skate and the goalpost and in. Of course I had to obtain this info in bits and pieces as we were being cursed out and yelled at by a drunk middle-aged Union fan, but that's how he explained it to me, and he had an arguably much better vantage point than we did in the stands.

Yes, NYHockeyGuy, I was with the aforementioned group.

I wonder if it's a bad thing that I have now come to expect being hosed by the ECAC refs....
