Re: RPI @ UMA, Friday, 10/12/18

Can I assume (yes, that word) there’s no TV coverage tonight?
If not, take good notes. I will be on before the game ends...

Re: RPI @ UMA, Friday, 10/12/18

Here's the obligatory "Go Puckman!" as I do have a graduate RPI degree (but two from UND).

Now back to my regularly scheduled North Dakota hockey fandom. :)

The HEA writer sees a UMA sweep. The ECAC writer sees each team winning on the road.

I would just be able to see them give a coordinated team effort tonight regardless of the outcome. But I would really like to see an improvement and more cohesive effort tomorrow Just hoping to see progress so I can hang onto the hope i have for a much better year than the last one. Let's Go Red!!!!

If you came here because of Gornall. he is apparently ineligible for the first semester. :)

Re: RPI @ UMA, Friday, 10/12/18

Need a little information. How is it both teams can suit up four full forward lines and then 7 defensemen? is that not one over the limit or has that been changed for this season?

That has been changed this season; 19 skaters are now permitted. Expect Meirs Moore, as well as any future "utility players" we may have in the future, to benefit greatly from this and find themselves cracking the extra skater role.

Re: RPI @ UMA, Friday, 10/12/18

We concluded when it was announced that it would be of benefit in two situations: when there is an injury and when there is a misconduct penalty since there still will be enough players for 4 lines and 3 sets of D. As Flaggie wrote, someone who can play both F and D will be useful.

Thanks Dude. Was not aware and really like that. So often with 6 defensemen we would get either an injury or a misconduct or disqualification and had to play short. now if we could only make that extra skater a designated face off man who could win more than 50%

Great minds indeed think alike.
