Coach SA cannot be happy-SLU takes 5 penalties and we still trail 2-1. Another case of the friday night swoon?

First period ends. Not a great period for the Engineers. Once again, they failed to score on 5 on 3. They were out shot and it took them 5 minutes to realize that the game had started.
They know what they need to do, now they have to come out and dominate the rest of this game.

good period by slu, who carried the play early until the first rpi pp. all 3 goals were nice goals as a result of hard work, although careys was a perfect snipe off a faceoff. I felt the refs did a great job that period, nothing they called was arguable at all, and they didn't miss anything that I saw.
