Re: RPI Recruiting II: Knowlton's Rangers (enlistments open)

Tonight after beating Michigan 4-3 I just mixed myself the most wonderful Vodka Martini using Chopin Vodka. So clean, so refreshing, so wonderful to beat Michigan:) Jenny only home from the hospital a few hours so no Van Gogh for her just yet. :(

Naturally, I don't know how long it will be before Jenny can enjoy her favorite cocktail, but fear not, the Engineers will give her many more chances to toast her favorite team.
Get well ASAP. that's an order. ;)

If it comes to that, I have two spares for Freakout that can be arranged. Have family visiting so I bought 5 tickets together, leaving my two season seats in section 16 free. :D

You are SO kind to offer, GRussinko. But I don't want you to hold them just for us if you have someone to take:p them. If you have no takers I would pay full value...that's on Feb 20th, yes?

It is the 20th, yes, and nobody has a claim on them yet so they're yours for the taking. A whopping $8 for the two of them (student ticket price, woo). If you're at HFH before then we can meet up so I can hand them off, otherwise we can work something out on game day.

Re: RPI Recruiting II: Knowlton's Rangers (enlistments open)

I think that Wicked is living in the past. ;) He played there last season.
Actually, I've never played for Nepean...

"Several kids from that squad" ...I think clearly refers to last year's Nepean team. If nothing else RB, you've taught me to be precise with my prose. :p

Babo - the story did indeed say that the entire staff resigned.

Re: RPI Recruiting II: Knowlton's Rangers (enlistments open)

On Wednesday, the Cornwall Colts lost to the Kemptville 73s 2-1. Jacob Laliberté had a roughing double minor penalty, a not-proceeding-to-bench misconduct penalty, and a slashing penalty. http://cjhlsite.stats.pointstreak.com/boxscore.html?gameid=1048178

Laliberté's line is now 31-38-30-68-22.

Like Chase Polacek, this ended JL's point-scoring streak. His was 29 games.

I wanted to see him show a little moxie but this was a bit more than I expected:eek: I guess he came back from vacation in a rather sour mood?

My opinion too. The whole situation last week is weird. We have read rumors that he was in Mexico, Cuba, or Florida, and either with his family or girlfriend.

The Battle of Ontario between the CJHL and CCHL is next with Laliberte, Quinn and Koudys all participating in one of the two games.

I wonder why JL didn't get an assist http://www.standard-freeholder.com/ArticleDisplay.aspx?e=2242354, but two others did.
It was Tyson Spink who got Cornwall on the scoreboard with 13:10 remaining in regulation time, pouncing on the rebound of a Jacob Laliberte shot and whipping the puck to the far top corner past Kemptville goalie Ben Curley.
305 penalty minutes in total.

The team issues aside, I wonder a bit about his grades. Sounds like he was out of town before school let out...we can only hope he is doing well at school and could afford to miss some classes. Bottom line for me is we won't be able to rest easy with Jake until he appears in the RPI student locator.

I doubt that he is in school currently. Remember that he was born in 1990. If he didn't graduate in 2008, he almost certainly did last spring.
