RPI Recruit Thread 2025-2026

On Friday, the Salmon Arm Silverbacks lost to the West Kelowna Warriors in a preseason game 3-2 in overtime. Easton Adrian had a tripping penalty. Tafari Chingwaru had a tripping penalty. Carter Oakenfold did not dress. https://bchl.ca/stats/game-center/14132

Adrian's preseason line is now 1-0-0-0-2.
Chingwaru's preseason line is now 1-0-0-0-2.
Oakenfold's preseason line is now 0-0-0-0-0.
 
On Friday, the Trail Smoke Eaters lost to the Okotoks Oilers in a preseason game 4-1. Dylan Lariviere did not dress, but his brother did. Carter Matthews did not dress. https://bchl.ca/stats/game-center/14128

Wow. That would be a complete waste of a development year. He was a ppg guy in that league 3 years ago in his 17 year-old season. I have to believe this is transient thing while they work out a deal to get him to the BCHL or another better league outside the Hockey Canada hierarchy. If he stays in the OJHL I think it's highly likely that he's off our recruit list (which may already be the case given he wasn't brought in during a year when we had almost a full roster of openings).

I did not notice that Kamyl Chemrouk is playing for Brooks and had an assist. They play again today.

I had the same thought. I think he’s off our list. He was supposed to come in this year anyway. Also concerning he was cut due to foot speed. He can’t make a ohl roster not sure how he makes a D1 roster.
