[Wicked Slappaahs]

He has been doing quite well since he arrived in Trenton (ON, not NJ), but Trenton has a great team. As you can see, he played one game in the NAHL and one in the NCDC before arriving there, and in neither he did well. He also didn't do well last year in the BCHL. He has been better than Trenton's other goalies. This is the best that he has looked since he was in prep school.

I think that he would help RPI, but our new coach, whoever he will be, will decide.

BTW, although he made 57 saves on 61 shots in almost 5 periods, he gave up 2 of the 4 goals which he gave up in the last 2 minutes of regulation sending the game to OT.

Unrelated but also goaltending related, I was in Utica for the D3 frozen four and saw the Curry College keeper Shane Soderwall --loss to Utica in OT. In the lead up to the weekend, the Utica coach called him "the best goaltender in D3". I went and looked him up -- he won goaltender of the year as a freshman and his numbers got better this year. ( He's the kid who made 98 saves vs. Hobart in last year's 4 OT D3 quarterfinals loss.)

I'd love to hear what a pro scout thinks of a kid like that and what the odds are that someone would reach out and offer him a jump to D1...I sure would think about it. He's got a good frame and moves really well. He's got nothing left to prove in D3 really...but I digress ! LOL
