Gunnarwolfe Fontaine made the Chicago Steel roster. :) Christian Sarlo did not. :(
I had suspected that Sarlo was the most at risk of the six RPI recruits who were earlier on USHL rosters. I think that Sarlo will end up on the NJ Titans' (NAHL) roster. There is an off chance that another USHL team will want him.

I think that the other four players will stay in the USHL (Ashbrook, Dubinsky, Matt Cameron, Herrman). All but Cameron are returnees, and Cameron played well. We know that Ashbrook is on the injured reserve list.

He was the other one who I had concern about. See post 189. I wonder if both he and Sarlo will end up on the Titans.


Edit: There are teams with fewer or more than 23 players listed. (And someone like Ashbrook who is on injured reserve may not count.) The total is fewer than an average of 23 per team. Conceivably someone will pick up one or both of Sarlo and Cameron.

I just noticed... only one Canadian on the men's recruit list. I have a feeling someone in the administration won't be happy... :eek::p

However Coach Jewell comes from the USHL, does he not? As for Coach Weber, not sure where his expertise is with recruiting, but I wouldn't be shocked if it isn't Canada.

Chuck Weber is from Lockport, NY. He has never coached college hockey or junior hockey before, so I don't think that he has many contacts which will help. I do suspect that there are coaches with whom he has crossed paths. I won't expect him to have made much of an impact yet in any case.

On the FYC site there has been some confusion as to the 23 man Rosters that were released. It was noted by several that not all Rosters were complete. A Poster posted a link with the supposed most updated Rosters. Lo & behold, Matt Cameron is on SF Roster (yes, it shows 26 players). I would’ve thought by now we would have seen MC’s name in the NAHL Transactions to NJ if he indeed had been dropped by SF. I suppose that you are correct. It also took a while for him to show up on the 30-man roster as you know.

herbst just Posted that many Teams are playing with the Affiliate Lists, putting them on the Rosters, hence some Teams are showing 24, 25, 26 players. He made no mention of MC.
