Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2018-19

I was at the Northwood game. They beat up on an outmatched Jr. Bruins Team 11-0. Shots were 50-13. Reid Liebold had the 1st goal of the game (I don’t believe he had any assists). Drove hard to the net, which he did all game, fired off a shot which the goalie smothered between his knees but left it out front of him & Liebold jammed it home. He had 7SOG, kid loves to shoot that was evident & he doesn’t often miss the net. I’ld say he finished under 50% on FO. He tries going with getting in front of his opponent on the FO perhaps when he gets some meat on that will be more effective. 5’11” 166 is what he’s listed at & I’ld say that is accurate. Has very good speed & real quick hands. Constant motion & sees the ice well with excellent anticipation. He was fun to watch. He centered the top line and his wingers are both SLU commits (neither scored a goal) as is one of their Dmen who also scored with a beauty of a slap shot from the blue line.

Thanks turk. He did get an assist also. I don't think that one can conclude much from a 11-0 game.

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2018-19

On Saturday, the Chicago Steel defeated the Green Bay Gamblers 5-3. Gunnarwolfe Fontaine had no points or penalties. Rory Herrman had a head contact minor penalty. http://www.ushl.com/view/#/game-summary/8275

Fontaine's line is now 8-0-4-4-0.
Herrman's line is now 8-4-2-6-19.

FWIW, Sam Colangelo, Gunnarwolfe Fontaine and Neil Shea’s linemate last season at Lawrence Academy played in this game for Chicago.

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2018-19

Cory (no E) Babichuk is playing for the SGS, I will post their summary in the AM. Four missing midget games, two for Itagaki, and the Beast series playoff games for Mike Camreon and Sarlo. I do know that the NJA 16U team (Mike C) won since a tweet mentioned that they would play in the semifinals tomorrow morning. And, of course, I will check for updates.

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2018-19

It has been tweeted that both the NJA 16U (Mike C) and NJA 18U team (Sarlo) have been advanced to the Beast semifinals although the box scores are not up. I will continue to check. Srill nothing for either of Itagaki's games, but that isn't unusual.

One old game.

On Thursday, 10/18/18, the North Jersey Avalanche 16U team defeated the New Jersey Devils Youth Premier 16U team 9-3. Mike Cameron did not dress. http://atlantichockey.org/game_recap.php?gameid=32592

Mike Cameron’s T1EHL line is 7-3-3-6-0.
His AYHL line is now 2-0-0-0-0.
His Beast line is now 8-4-3-7-2.
His total is now 17-7-6-13-2.

On Saturday, the Sioux Falls Stampede defeated the Madison Capitols 2-1. Matt Cameron had no points or penalties. http://www.ushl.com/view/#/game-summary/8456

Matt Cameron's line is now 5-1-1-2-0.

I might’ve missed someone posting this earlier, but Matt Cameron is listed as an RPI recruit now on USHL. And as far as NZ not listing him, they never have, one they missed (though they have an interview about his commitment funny enough).

Does anyone have info of him de-committing, or were we just jumping to conclusions?

A bit jumping to conclusions but partially based on private communications (not from him or his family). I am still following him because nothing is offical. He does not list RPI on his twitter page. Neutral Zone used to list him. I subscribe and he is still mentioned as an RPI recruit on reviews.

The dates on which some of the women are listed as committing on may be considerably after the actual dates.
I am assuming that Neutral Zone records their Star ratings as public because they tweet them with committals.

If that's the case, I'd keep a close eye on the same for Mike. I wouldn't be shocked if, like the Öhrwalls, Appert was going for the brother to get the desired player.
