That's one goalie, Miller, to replace Perry; four defensemen, Babichuk, Davies, Kjellberg, and Klee, with two graduating; and three forwards, Ashbrook, Herrman, and McIsaac, with only one graduating. It is possible that some who signed NLIs aren't coming next fall.

Edit: It does only say they have signed to be future Engineers, not that they are arriving in the fall. If they are all coming next fall, I am most surprised that Davies is included.

I’m not sure if it’s different in hockey, but in FB and BB the NLI is only good for the upcoming academic year. If the student doesn’t enroll it is voided.

It's true for all sports. Just one little addendum to that: If it is voided because the student chooses not to go, the NCAA recognizes that as forfeiting a year of eligibility. It usually has to be cancelled by the administration for them to still get the four years.

I don't. Some people think that he might be a low round draft choice https://www.draftsite.com/nhl/player/dylan-davies/32385/, but I doubt that he is coming early because there is a lot of other interest in him. (Note that the interest shown in this site, a compilation of opinions, in Davies has dropped down and now he is no longer projected to be picked.

It still wouldn't surprise me if when the dust settles he agrees to defer. Don't get me wrong, I feel that true freshmen should be the rule rather than the exception.
