Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2017-18

Ture Linden was one of the honorable mentions for the NAHL South Division Star of the Week. http://nahl.com/news/story.cfm?id=22438

Edit:He was the #2 Star I the week of 10/23 and also once before an honorable mention. I think that it was mentioned but Jon Bendorf was once the #2 Star of his division.

On Saturday, the Washington Little Caps Premier U16 team lost to the Mercer Chiefs Premier U16 team 4-2. Reid Leibold had no points or penalties. http://atlantichockey.org/game_recap.php?gameid=31334

Leibold's AYHL line is now 9-8-4-12-0.
His NAPHL line is now 12-8-4-11-36.
His nonleague line is now 4-4-3-7-2. missing games
His total is now 25-20-11-30-38.

There are still three missing AYHL games (one for RL and two for Mike Cameron). I will keep checking.

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2017-18

Ran over to watch the U v. UMass game yesterday. Enjoyed seeing UMass get the W. 😜 I was impressed with how involved Benny B was in coaching on the bench. He was extremely actively and very involved - coaching the defense and special teams. Carvel seems to be giving him a lot responsibility / freedom. IMO, It won't be long before BB is helming a program.

Yes, Ralph I know I shouldn't be posting here!

Just for the record

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2017-18

Essentially the same as everyone has been saying:
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">One thing worth mentioning as we head into the holiday break: it's almost certain that there will be current players cut before next season. At present, current forwards plus recruits who have been pegged as 2018 arrivals would give RPI an ungodly 21 forwards next year.</p>— Without a Peer (@without_a_peer) <a href="https://twitter.com/without_a_peer/status/940057448798236673?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">December 11, 2017</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Of the 6 forward recruits that have been at one time or another pegged for 2018, three of them have to come in next season, and all but one committed to RPI after Dave Smith's hiring. So even if some recruits are pushed back, it's at least 18, still too many for a typical roster.</p>— Without a Peer (@without_a_peer) <a href="https://twitter.com/without_a_peer/status/940057831503360000?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">December 11, 2017</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Engineers also would have 9 D and 4 G for next season along similar criteria - so it's not just forwards. There are 10 recruits linked to a 2018 arrival with three graduating seniors. Undoubtedly, some of these recruits will be 2019 or later, but not seven of them.</p>— Without a Peer (@without_a_peer) <a href="https://twitter.com/without_a_peer/status/940058652584456192?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">December 11, 2017</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

They’ve been saying the same things about BB for what, 3-4yrs now & yet he’s still an AC. Just saying’.

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2017-18

Out of 13 recruits listed only Modry has much size. Only one player is taller than 6' and 200 pounds seems like the upper limit. Sure hope these boys are both fast and talented.

Agreed. I think that quite a few are of the roll-playing variety.

For once I checked if you posted first. :) We'll see if he continues to bloom.

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2017-18

He's not in their database.
He’s apparently not in many  I haven’t seen any mention from any of the sites or the many Twitter people I check on daily i.e., elite prospects.....Heisenberg.....neutral zone....Jeff Cox & more. Not saying he didn’t commit just haven’t seen much.
