As usual, the NJA’s (Cameron) box score is not up yet. I will post the summary eventually.

Cory Babichuk is not in Surrey’s lineup as he played in the Prospects game. Owen Stout is still injured. I won’t bother posting the game summary for the game between their teams.

I will post the other BCHL summaries in the AM. Jacob Modry is dressed for Wenatchee (8 D and 10 F dressed). Linden Marshall is in the net for Trail.

We are supposedly losing only one D (Reno). With Cho, Babichuk, and Tuliara coming, we would have 11. That seems most unlikely. Babichuk might be deferring, and Prapavessis may leave, and ...

When's the last time we've had a player come from Europe without playing NA junior hockey? I'd be surprised if he didn't play juniors next year.

With absolutely no inside information, I thought I'd heard through the years academics was big for the Prapavessis family. I'd think he'd play all 4 years to get a degree.

Mikael Hammarstrom comes to mind. I don't think that there has been one since.


Edit: I have heard that academics was big for Praps, but money does talk.

BTW, I have seen nothing else about Tuliara coming except for the Hockey Commitments tweet. Usually they are a few days late with their tweets. He could indeed go to juniors here for a year, but he seems to be playing quite well in Finland's top junior league.

Nothing says he can't finish (no pun intended) a degree over summer years. After all, there was a particular hot-shot hall-of-famer that did that, what was his name... ;)
