Given Hackett and Perry are both technically sophomores, unless Perry's a flight risk, I doubt we're carrying three scholarship goalies for two years. 2012-13 seems like an oddity.

I agree fully. The most likely thing is that Hackett is gone. However, if he is reinstated this year, it would that mean that Perry us a flight risk. A school can't afford to use more than 2 full scholarships on goalies, and I don't think that either of our current are on much less than full scholarship. In 12-13, Merriam and Diebold may have been on partials.

IMO, having a Freshman and a Junior next year is better for the future than two members of the same class.

Let's move any future discussion about the goalie situation to the main thread.

I will post the Surrey/Trail summary in the AM. Cory Babichuk is dressed. Linden Marshall is the backup goalie.

On Thursday, the Surrey Eagles defeated the Trail Smoke Eaters 7-3. Cory Babichuk had an assist (PPA). Lyndon Marshall was the backup goalie. http://bchl.ca/game-summary?game_id=7579

Babichuk's line is now 34-4-18-22-2.
Marshall's line is now 19-9-8-0-2.85-.916.


They couldn't reverse the 19-3. :) (That is a 20-goal difference in the relative scores from -16 to +4.)

Marshall is in goal for Trail. Modry isn’t playing, and Stout is still injured. I will only post the first summary in the AM. The other links are in the post 870.

No points by three forwards, although each had 2 SOGs, one injured forward, and one defenseman not dressed. Alt least LM has gave up no goals in the first period. Edit: Not so good in the 2nd.
