Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2015-16

From numerous tweets, The Hun School won the Purple Puck tourney 5-4 (2-1) in a shootout. Jon Bendorf scored 2 goals and missed on a SO shot. I think his total line for the tourney was 5-7-6-13-X, but I will wait until the summaries are posted since there may have been changes after some of the games.
Apparently you have his line for today's game correct. I just received a message that THS did win in a shootout and that Bendorf had 2 goals but heard nothing about any possible assists. Bit of an upset in the earlier games today as Gonzaga lost in a shootout to a team they had previously beaten.

Edit: No assists for Bendorf in the championship game.

On Wednesday, the Hun School tied Don Bosco Preparatory High School 3-3. Jon Bendorf had 2 assists. http://www.hunschool.org/page/News-Detail?pk=820320&fromId=190347.

Bendorf's Hun School line is now 2-0-3-3-X.

The assists are described in the link. Note also the link at the bottom.
I’m not sure if this is what you meant by; “ Note also the link at the bottom” (I don’t see it though). This is from 12/2...... There's kids that put up eight points when you win 10-0," McNally said. "Then there's kids that score the two goals in a 2-1 win. He's that kid. So it'll be a chance for him to really show how impactful he is on games.”.... http://highschoolsports.nj.com/news...key-jon-bendorf-of-hun-looks-ahead-to-season/

I meant the link contained in the link which I posted, namely this. http://highschoolsports.nj.com/news...36/don-bosco-prep-3-at-hun-3-boys-ice-hockey/

The link which you posted was posted at the time that JB committed.

Turk: Read the article and it does fit him fairly well. We have only seen him twice but we have friends who have seem him much more than that. Nothing he does stands out but he just seems to get it allo done and done pretty well. What I have not seen written is how hard he seems to hit. In a collision he seems to keep going forward while the other player seems to fly backward.

BTW, I was amazed how many penalty shots were called in the tourney. It seemed like every game which The Hun School played in, one team or the other had a penalty shot.

Obviously i was not there but was told that defense was virtually zero. Most games filled with odd man rushes and clean breakaways.

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2015-16

On Friday, the Estevan Bruins defeated the Weyburn Red Wings 3-1. Charlie Manley had a boarding penalty. http://www.leaguestat.com/sjhl/sjhl/en/stats/game-summary.php?game_id=3208

Manley's line is now 36-1-12-13-6.

Not having seem the game, I can only imagine the 5'11" Manley getting a boarding penalty at the same time that a 6'8" opponent cross checks and Manley's 6'3" teammate gets a roughing penalty. (I assume the teammate came to CM's defense.)

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2015-16

Lengthy highlights from the Hun School victory in the championship game of the Purple Puck Tourney https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eCKA0qqh91k

Jon Bendorf is 21 in white. His goals are about at 3:15 and 5:00. He was the #3 Star.

He scored 8 goals in the tourney, not 7.
Thanks RB-nice post. From this most can see what I meant by Bendorf's size. He may not always be the biggest kid on the ice but he just seems to be when you watch him.

The Hun School overall appeared to be much the bigger team.
