Have a couple friends attending the Purple Puck tournament so may get some news about Bendorf in a few days. How far from the Dupont rink are you? Perhaps you can catch a game or two.

It isn't far at all. It just in a neighborhood that I prefer not to go to. That is why I asked joecct about it a couple of weeks ago. The Hun School won their first game against DeMatha 8-1, but besides for the player who was named Player of the Game, no other details were tweeted or posted. Eventually they will probably post scoring.

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2015-16

The Hun School may not post summaries until after The Purple Puck Tourney is over on Thursday, but Jon Bendorf didn't do too badly today according to this tweet. :) The final score was 6-1.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Bendorf only able to bury 4 today, gets a pity nod to wear the bucket home. 6-1 win in game 2 <a href="https://t.co/3Wq5207KwX">pic.twitter.com/3Wq5207KwX</a></p>— Hun Hockey (@HunHockey) <a href="https://twitter.com/HunHockey/status/681939720713203713">December 29, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2015-16

Ralph: Jonathon Bendorf had an assist in the first game on 12/28 but did not participate in the rest of the 8 goals scored. Interestingly each goal was scored by a different player. Do not have a box score, just an eyewitness report.
And he was a monster today in a 6-1 win. The Hun team has really only one other school in the tournament that is of their caliber.

It looks like it was the same situation last year.

I have seen them play parts of two games. Will probably see them play Delbarton this year although not sure if we will get there. They are a decent team and Bendorf has looked very good but what you cannot fail to notice is he is a big boy.

Considering how short recruits like Hayhurst, Fornaris, Polino, and some of the dmen are, we still look undersized.

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2015-16

Considering how short recruits like Hayhurst, Fornaris, Polino, and some of the dmen are, we still look undersized.
With so many of the other teams recruiting some real size both on D and up front, I am not a big fan of smaller D men in our line up. When you have to contend with 6'5" 230 pound forwards in front of the net, Newton's Laws really do have an effect. Say what we will about Cornell, they always have some size on that team and they have been very successful using that.
