BTW, all three of our recruits who are playing today have at least one point. That doesn't happen every day. :)

The dates on which some of the women are listed as committing on may be considerably after the actual dates.

Moore's line is now 11-1-7-8-8.
Both the goal and assist seem to be on the power play.

I think you’re right RB. Although the boxscore doesn’t indicate PP, by looking at the times of the penalties that preceded the goals it certainly looks to be PPs.

I thought that the programs automatically figured out if goals were on power plays or shorthanded. I guess the one which the BCHL uses doesn't, and the scorekeeper must enter it by hand. BTW, the scorecard has now been fixed.


Also the AV announcer was touting ET for BCHL player of the week at the end of the game. With a 2-9-11 line in three games over the weekend, it would not be surprising, although both of his goals were early in the Friday game.

Even though it’s way too early in the season to make any judgements, I never would’ve figured Rodriguez to be the least productive recruit (scoring wise). Yes, he does play in the best Jr. League but I expected more. Still lots of season left though.

That is certainly the reason that Rodriguez has been the least productive. He has been improving and has not been a healthy scratch recently. I do think that he will produce more as the season progresses.

It does seem that a change of scenery has benefited Fornaris, Manley, and Moore, especially Moore who seems to be the offensive defenseman which he was in HS. I do see both Moore and Manley having trouble breaking into the defense next season on a regular basis even with Curadi and Leonard graduating, assuming that Reno is not permanently in the doghouse.

It was given to Craig Puffer of Chilliwack, a Vermont recruit, who had 6 goals (no assists) and was named #1 Star in each of 3 games over the weekend.

Being a productive 16 and 17 year old in the junior hockey ranks will always draw interest, and Jacob was no exception. A 44-point season in the OJHL last year earned him a commitment to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Division I Eastern College Athletic Conference.

It is a school that has at least one familiar face.

“I’m really excited to know that Jacob will be here at some point down the line,” said former Patriot Mike Prapavessis, a freshman defender this season for the Engineers.

“I got to know him really well last year. He’s one heck of a hockey player and he’s a really good kid too, so I was definitely in his ear a little about coming to RPI. To be honest, I was probably bothering him a little bit about it, asking him when he was making his decision and trying to give him a bit of a push every now and then. I was really pumped when I heard that he committed and definitely excited that I get to play with him again. Looking forward to it.”
