Tomlinson's stats at SPS are from short game summaries and probably omit some assists.

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2013-14 (Part II)

They pulled him after the fourth goal (third in the second period) and put him back in 34 seconds later when TLP scored on its next shot. It surprised me that they didn't leave the backup in longer. Perhaps he injured himself trying to make the save.

Edit: The open question is why they gave the backup the number 3 star for the effort or lack thereof.
it's why I am enamored with Jr. hockey :) (response to your edit)

At least we can't condemn the TLP scorekeeper or whoever picked the stars of being a homer as we did for another scorekeeper a while back. It also was good to see that MP got the #2 star over a teammate who scored two goals.

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2013-14 (Part II)

An interesting article abut Michael Prapavessis from the time that the London Knights got his OHL rights. http://www.intheoradio.com/imported-20111223013912/tag/michael-prapavessis I am pretty sure it hasn't been linked here before.

The long and short of it is that Prapavessis is a talented defenceman who was pegged as a late bloomer, and surprise! After half a season in the OJHL he already was thought of as a grizzled veteran and two months into this season he has shown his growth and commitment to improve not only on the ice but off the ice. A smooth skater who isn’t afraid to skate with the puck, who can spot the open lane and lead his forwards with a pass. A good shot that will produce rebounds and his defensive skills are some of the best in the OJHL.

BTW, Toronto Lake Shore has an early game today that is a reschedule from a weather-related postponement.

Nice find RB. My favorite line from that article is this....... who can spot the open lane and lead his forwards with a pass. LEAD, not in the skates, not behind them. L E A D.
