Tomlinson's stats at SPS are from short game summaries and probably omit some assists.

The discouraging thing is that 4 of our recruits have combined for 2 goals and 8 assists in 85 games. And 2 of the 4 seem to not dress on a regular basis.
Not a good sign for a team who could use some serious scoring threats. :(

I agree that it would be nice to have more scoring from our recruits, but each player has to be treated as a separate case. For example, one cannot be as a critical of Nanne since he recently returned from a lengthy injury. He does seem to be getting more SOGs recently. Also not every defenseman is expected to be a goal scorer. In addition, one has to factor in how much scholarship money has been allocated to each player. I wouldn't expect as much from a recruited walk-on as from someone receiving a full scholarship. I would like to see a forward who is among his league's leading scorers -- and we don't have one. (On D, Prapavessis, Wilson, and Bell before his injury fit that bill.)

Edit: Also we currently have four forward recruits which means that probably at most one is for 2015. The only scoring forward we have to replace for 2014 is Higgs, and we probably have him covered. I am concerned that we don't have more of the 2015 forward class covered already. That might mean that we lost out on some recruits on our A list.

That concerns me as well. That's going to be an important recruiting class for us as we are losing a lot of talent upfront, Haggerty (unless he leaves early), Neal, Laliberte, Schroeder, and to a lesser extent, McGowan. I'm sure OGC has some prospects in mind.

We shouldn't count Schroeder since he redshirted last year. He is for all practical purposes hockeywise a soph now. However, at the moment we indeed don't have replacements for Haggerty, Neal, and Laliberte. I would have expected us to be further along at the moment.

Edit: I am sure that you will see some well thought out comments soon on WaP's recruiting post.
