Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2013-14 (Part II)

On Friday, the Waterloo Black Hawks defeated the Chicago Steel 2-1. Drew Melanson had two assists (1 PPA). http://ushl2011.stats.pointstreak.com/boxscore.html?gameid=2234394

Melanson's Waterloo line is now 22-6-13-19-8.
His total is 24-6-13-19-8.
DM with 4SOG, 1 more than UA-H had thru 2 periods vs Wisco  http://collegehockeyinc.com/stats/boxes14.php?malhwis1.d27 ......Actually, have to give credit to the UA-H goalie.

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2013-14 (Part II)

On Friday, OJHL South & West defeated the LHJAAAQ (Perron-Burrows) in the Central Canada Cup 6-0. Michael Prapavessis had two assists (both PPA). http://www.centralcanadacup.com/en/scorekeeper/summary.html?idMatch=234397

Prapavessis' line is now 2-0-2-2-0.
I have never seen penalties listed in seconds instead of minutes before. (See the player statistics.) (Also the SOGs formatting leaves something to be desired, but they didn't include them anyway.)
Two games again tomorrow.
....for those that don't know (not you RB), Liam Kerins on MP's Team is former Engineer, Paul Kerins', little brother.

When he was here in NJ at Delbarton, the only criticisms of him were his size and his reluctance to take shots and often deferring to pass instead. It appears more and more like he will indeed fit in quite well up on the hill in Troy.

Saw Drew play a couple times at the ice house. He looked good but unfortunately Delbarton was so much better than the competition it was hard to get a handle on how good he was. I bet he will be a good addition to the Engineers.

That's what it seemed like from just reading the box scores and comments by DrD. I am quite surprised that some players have gone from there directly to D-I college. I think that DM is benefiting a lot from his time in the USHL.

The boys who went direct to NCAA DIV I went mostly to the Ivies. Some have done very well. I too think that DM has derived some benefit from being in the USHL as at Delbarton the competition most nights was just not there.

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2013-14 (Part II)

The other two games aren't finished but neither recruit is playing.

Fornaris isn't dressed http://ushl2011.stats.pointstreak.com/boxscore.html?gameid=2234390.
Tironese isn't dressed again http://ushl2011.stats.pointstreak.com/boxscore.html?gameid=2234391. There is no indication that he is suspended. He could be in the dog house, injured, or missed a flight back from Canada assuming he was home.

All five of RPI's USHL recruits are in their teams' lineup today including ET.
