Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2012-13 (Part II)

Tom deserves all the credit.

I agree, and I hope that Melanson is one of the players who "returned for their sophomore year with the requisite size". We can afford to have him spend next year in Troy as an "undersized freshman" if that were to happen. It's no different than if he spent next year in Omaha to gain that size, since he is an extra forward next season. All he is doing is using up a year of eligibility which he would not use anyway if he were to leave early.

I hope that made sense.

I was just thanking you for the post-I knew the summary came from Tom. What you said makes sense-but then again at our age we speak and write a little differently than others.:)

I never could write well. I remember struggling with the essay for the RPI application and I am currently struggling with writing my German homework.

Back to the topic, I knew that you knew. :) I just figured Tom shold be mentioned.

BTW, Melanson is playing this evening. So is Tironese.

Also congrats to Katie Rooney on a 7-point game yesterday (hat trick and 4 assists) http://www.mngirlshockeyhub.com/game/game_sheet/3801036.

ET with the primary assist on the tying goal at 18:36 of the 3rd....4-4. AV wins it in OT. Listening on the net, ET's pass was off a faceoff win, pass to him & he makes a no-look pass to Ryan Lough (St.Lawr.) on the backdoor! Notice the SOG (61-26 Victoria)!! Also, AV was on the PP for about the last 6 minutes of reg. & OT so that made it a little closer. But when you go 3-4 on your PP that certainly becomes something of an equalizer.......http://www.bchl.ca/leagues/hockey_boxscores.cfm?clientID=1413&leagueID=2393&gameID=1103061

We both noticed the shot discrepancy. When I first looked at the boxscore, AV was leading 1-0 but trailing 18-3 in shots.

We did that a few times from 2009-11 with Allen York in net. I wonder if AV's goalie is committed, not that we need one until 2015 (probably too late by then)...

He also had some poor games especially early in the season. He's not committed, but he is a 92, so it's unlikely. Lastly, SA doesn't appear to like short goalies.

I wonder how he would feel about very 'wide' goalies?

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2012-13 (Part II)

Depends if they're still without starting goalie Willie Benjamin plus 2 of their top scorers who've missed the last several games; Dylan Malmquist & Andy Jordhal.
I haven't been paying attention to that.
