Little RB with an assist on Lincoln's 3rd goal...3-2 Stars.....also 2min penalty as he got into it with good buddy JT Stenglein. Friday night Lincoln plays Omaha & Saturday also.....that'll make it easier for Big RB :D
Good to see him fitting in.

On Tuesday, the Lincoln Stars defeated the Waterloo Black Hawks 4-2. Jimmy DeVito did not dress. Jake Wood did not dress. Riley Bourbonnais had an a assist and a delay of game penalty. http://ushl2011.stats.pointstreak.com/boxscore.html?gameid=1978220

DeVito's line is now 31-3-4-7-80.
Wood's line is now 31-8-10-18-95.
Bourbonnais' Lincoln line is now 1-0-1-1-2.
Total 34-16-16-32-36.

I look forward to that (no pun intended). Better to have those extra skaters around than to have to go through a 34 game schedule short handed.
I agree, but you have to keep the players happy also or some may leave. (SOmetimes that doesn't bother the coach.)

Just speculating but it's possibly a team mgt. decision.
That could be. It was just Wood himself who called it a suspension and me when I picked up on his tweet. Well, whatever, he did sit out the game.

Ralph plays for Lincoln now? ;) If anything, our Ralph is Little RB.

I agree, but you have to keep the players happy also or some may leave. (SOmetimes that doesn't bother the coach.)

If they are sitting out, usually there is a reason. And if they continue to sit out, that reason is usually a pretty good one. And if that is something they cannot solve-and want to try somewhere else-then so be it! SA sees these boys day in and day out-he can evaluate a lot of things we only get to see 60 minutes of. I do not mind if someone leaves because of poor play or poor attitude-I only mind if someone leaves because of a conflict that should have been resolvable because it was just a personality clash kind of issue. Being a good coach and running a top notch program involves being and doing a lot of things-and being part psychiatrist may well be part of it. Just my 2¢

There is a reason, but it can be as simple as there are more players on the roster that can dress. There are, of course, many other reasons.

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2012-13 (Part II)

Thanks for posting RB-nice summary and a great job by WaP. The summary about Melanson is just absolutely spot on. (he is the only recruit that we had seen play in person)
Tom deserves all the credit.

I agree, and I hope that Melanson is one of the players who "returned for their sophomore year with the requisite size". We can afford to have him spend next year in Troy as an "undersized freshman" if that were to happen. It's no different than if he spent next year in Omaha to gain that size, since he is an extra forward next season. All he is doing is using up a year of eligibility which he would not use anyway if he were to leave early.

I hope that made sense.
