Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2011-12 Part II

With no official recruit annoucement made yet, does it look more and more likely that Bubela will be coming?

The 'Tute seems to be getting slower with everything, so it probably is meaningless. They could be waiting for Bubela's clearance by the NCAA, but I don't know how long that should take.

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2011-12 Part II

If the gibberish that Google translates provides is approximately correct, Bubela will be in Troy in August http://www.slovakprospects.com/zahr.../clanok/599-milos-bubela-do-univerzitnej-ncaa. The video was posted earlier.

Edit: and they spelled Rensselaer correctly. :)

While spelling Rensselaer is impressive, The fact that they spelled out Polytechnic Institute is even more so.
What can we expect from Bubela on the ice. He only had 28 games at Dubuque last year not a great sample.
He will be 20 in August, so he has some experience. I'd be interested to know what the rest of you think his chances of playing everyday are?

EHF-The only people I have had contact with who have either seen him first hand or had seen evaluations of him have said that he has considerable potential. It remains to be seen, however, how SA deals with him and what plans he has for him to fit into his system in Troy. My guess is that he has a pretty good upside potential.

I expect him to play regularly,

Not sure, but it's possible. It isn't THAT far away.

EDIT: Wow I'm blind, it's at Monroe. Must be two rinks in the complex.

Isn't it always in the same place?

Wait a minute, Monroe isn't anywhere near Rochester. It's near where NY 17 connects to the Thruway. Is there another Monroe in NY?

Monroe County Community College. ;)

17 connects the Thruway in Harriman NY.

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2011-12 Part II

Monroe is very near to Harriman, but I forgot there is also a Monroe County. Never mind. :)

It isn't the only one. Fulton isn't in Fulton County (rather Oswego), Clinton is not necessarily in Clinton County (One is, but also in Oneida and Dutchess), Hamilton is not in Hamilton County (rather Madison), Oneida isn't in Oneida County (rather Madison), I could go on but I won't.
