Re: RPI Pros IV

with 3 rookies, Shaw,Hayes& Smith, already on the roster due to injuries I wouldn't expect a long stay. BTW, Shaw & Hayes have performed very well while called up...especially Shaw. Although, none play center.

Re: RPI Pros IV

His stats in Chicago were not very good. I hope he can show them something in Springfield.

He is still young for a goaltender-he has plenty of time ahead to make the big time. Hopefully though he can stay close and not remain far from the NHL-he needs to stick at the AHL level and show he belongs. The key also may be to just remain healthy-although i don't wish ill on anyone, all it takes is a few injuries to goalies listed ahead of him and he could get the break he needs.

just for the record, the Blackhawks have 4 rookies (not counting BP) on the current roster. I forgot Marcus Krueger....and BP gets a -1 as Nashville scores.

Pirri sent back down to Rockford: http://blackhawks.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=613715

Edit: It may be so he can keep playing while the NHL is on the all-star break. Rockford has a pair of games at Charlotte tomorrow and Friday, as well as a home game against Milwaukee on Saturday. With three games in as many days, I'd imagine Rockford is going to need all the manpower they're allowed.

Re: RPI Pros IV

Really? I didn't see him at the Crunch game over the weekend... (they were playing WBS, and the Crunch lost 4-3)
Merth played in 10 games while he was with W/B, I'm sure during that time he was a scratch on a couple of occasions. He was recalled to W/B 12/28. I wouldn't be surprised to see him back with W/B after the All-Star break as Pittsburgh sent a couple of players down...who will probably be recalled after the break.

OK. I didn't hear his name when they announced the scratches, and didn't see him come out the tunnel (I was in the WBS section as I was lucky enough to get an extra ticket from a family member of one of the players), which is why I was confused. Of course, I don't remember his number. If he did get any +/- at all, I wouldn't be too surprised as WBS scored two shorties that game , and the last time I saw him play, he did get a lot of time on the PK.

Re: RPI Pros IV

Bruuuut with his 11th tonight in Gwt.'s 4-3 win...........http://echl.com/stats/game-summary.php?game_id=9196 Pirri with his 19th with 1:30 left to tie it but they loose in the SO...http://theahl.com/stats/official-game-report.php?game_id=1009274......& JD'A with 1g(10th)1a & 6 SOG in Toronto's win....http://theahl.com/stats/official-game-report.php?game_id=1009275

Looks like JDA is finally starting to get comfortable in the AHL. Should have stayed in school for one more year.
Brutlag has been an offensive surprise this season. I have a nephew who is close to the team and they are very happy with his performance.
It won't be long until Pirri is in the NHL for good. Just might not be with the Blackhawks, they are very deep at forward when healthy.

This is making my choice of game for February 3rd very difficult... go to Crunch/Marlies, or watch RPI/Cornell on Versus (with WRPI calling it via internet, of course)...
