and the rollercoaster ride continues for Allen York as he's recalled to Springfield...http://www.echl.com/echl-transactions-jan-24-p175642.....http://www.falconsahl.com/index.php?id=1985
His stats in Chicago were not very good. I hope he can show them something in Springfield.
just for the record, the Blackhawks have 4 rookies (not counting BP) on the current roster. I forgot Marcus Krueger....and BP gets a -1 as Nashville scores.with 3 rookies, Shaw,Hayes& Smith, already on the roster due to injuries I wouldn't expect a long stay. BTW, Shaw & Hayes have performed very well while called up...especially Shaw. Although, none play center.
not to mention Pirri's All-Star appearance Monday night.Pirri sent back down to Rockford: http://blackhawks.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=613715 speaking of, here's a list of TV stations that will carry the game...http://theahl.com/2012-all-star-tv-network-p175439
Edit: It may be so he can keep playing while the NHL is on the all-star break. Rockford has a pair of games at Charlotte tomorrow and Friday, as well as a home game against Milwaukee on Saturday. With three games in as many days, I'd imagine Rockford is going to need all the manpower they're allowed.

after a nice 10 game run with W/B, Peter Merth assigned back to Wheeling....http://www.wheelingnailers.com/pages/news/articles/20120125.asp
Merth played in 10 games while he was with W/B, I'm sure during that time he was a scratch on a couple of occasions. He was recalled to W/B 12/28. I wouldn't be surprised to see him back with W/B after the All-Star break as Pittsburgh sent a couple of players down...who will probably be recalled after the break.Really? I didn't see him at the Crunch game over the weekend... (they were playing WBS, and the Crunch lost 4-3)

Looks like JDA is finally starting to get comfortable in the AHL. Should have stayed in school for one more year.
Brutlag has been an offensive surprise this season. I have a nephew who is close to the team and they are very happy with his performance.
It won't be long until Pirri is in the NHL for good. Just might not be with the Blackhawks, they are very deep at forward when healthy.
