Re: RPI Pick to Click 2013-14: Revenge of the Nerds
Congratulations to lugnut! He banked on Haggerty having a big night against Sacred Heart and cashed in in a big way. His win catapults him to the top of the standings. Oh how the mighty have fallen. 1988 followed up his stellar debut with a grand total of 0 points in Week 2. Also unfortunately, he was the only scoreless poster.
Ryan Haggerty had a pretty good weekend, eh? 5 goals on the weekend for the junior from Stamford. 2 of them came Friday night at Agganis, making him the most valuable player in that match-up. But, he did a little better on Saturday, so we have to look to the rest of the team for the most valuable PtC pick on Friday.
Scott Diebold (nobody) got the win.
Matt Tinordi (lugnut) opened the scoring.
Jacob Laliberte (ehf and MavHockey) had the primary assist on each of Haggerty's goals.
Curtis Leonard (REDaero) had the secondary on Tinordi's goal. Each of them was worth 2 PtC points. For the Terriers,
Kevin Duane (nobody) scored the goal and
Ahti Oksanen (myself, lugnut, Ralph, RKarger, and vizoroo) assisted him, again making each worth 2 PtC points.
The first home game for the Engineers went just like they drew it up, I assume. The power play unit scored another goal, Haggerty (ehf, hawthr, lugnut, MavHockey, and RPI fan 4 life) notched a hat trick and RPI took care of business like they were supposed to.
Jeff Carroll (nobody) scored the Pioneers lone goal.
lugnut moves from second to first with the weekly win. 1988 drops all the way to 9th after not tallying any points while arickeo drops from 5th to 14th for failing to submit picks. ehf jumps all the way to the Top 5 with his 8-point weekend.
Make sure you get your picks in before 7pm this Saturday!
