RPI Pick to Click - 2011-12

Re: RPI Pick to Click - 2011-12

On the same page where burgie12 lists the rosters of each team, he will list the ineligible players. It's the top forward and top defence player on each team by points. This will change from week to week, of course.

You spelled defense wrong, since you're an American.

Re: RPI Pick to Click - 2011-12

Nice to be back to hockey season again. Last season was pretty good. RPI made the NCAA tournament (then lost horribly, but they made it!) BC also made the tournament (and also lost horribly, very upsetting) and BU didn't even make the tournament which is always nice to see (in fact BU won nothing important last year! Sorry Burgie) As for the NHL the Bruins helped continue Bostons dominance is sports by winning Lord Stanley's Cup (Thanks Loungo) Hopefully this season will be just as good. Now for my picks:

RPI - <strike>Bryce Merriam</strike> Scott Diebold
Canada Eh - Jacob Dietrich

Also according to the roster Burgie has for Acadia they apparently don't have a goalie?!?!

Merriam is out with a hip injury. And, they graduated at least one and the roster is slow to update. On the parent site of the rosters / individual stats, there are also news items and recaps for each team. That is where I would check for news on who you would expect to see in goal tomorrow night.

Re: RPI Pick to Click - 2011-12

Congratulations to cnor. He won his second ever week. As congratulations, he gets to start the season with 0 points! Strange coincidence, everyone else starts with 0 points, too.

Diebold scored 5 PtC points by pitching a shutout in the place of Merriam. Haggerty's 2 goals, Schroeder's goal and pair of assists, and Koudys' pair of assists were each worth 4 PtC points.

Re: RPI Pick to Click - 2011-12

Link back to the title post with details on scoring

RPI hosts the Mankato State Purple Moose to start the regular season for the Engineers. The Landcows have never played the men of Troy and will show their ugly purple jerseys off while getting beat down (well, really, out-skated and out-skilled, but that's neither here nor there).

The players that you will not be allowed to choose will be based on last year's statistics, since neither team has played any non-exhibition games yet.

You may not choose the following players for this game: Hey... babo! Look over here!
Rensselaer:
F - Brock Higgs
D - Nick Bailen

Minnesota State:
F - Michael Dorr
D - Tyler Elbrecht
