RPI Offseason Thread: Six Languages of Drivel

Re: RPI Offseason Thread: Six Languages of Drivel

A most respectable time IMHO. I last ran a marathon when I was 31 and did it in 3:34 and change. I would posit that at 40 years of age his time was a far better effort than mine.

But you weren't being chased by Hokydad. ;)

Re: RPI Offseason Thread: Six Languages of Drivel

Haggerty first star of the game with two goals and an assist. mSG is touting the hell out of him!

Was at the Flyer-Ranger game tonight. Haggerty was awesome. Both goals typical Hags swooping in from the left side and beating the goalie in front of the crease at close range with some fancy stick-handling. He almost had a hat trick on his last shot (although he could have passed to the open right wing but who can blame him?). 3 points, plus 2 and 5 shots on goal - deserved first star. Gostisbehere ok for Philly but their D was so awful it was hard to tell. Morin should be renamed Moron for his cheap crosscheck. Bonus of the evening was being stopped by a very pretty lady between periods 1 and 2 because she saw my Rensselaer hoodie. Turns out it was Ryan's mom who came down from Conn. to watch Ryan in person! Perhaps Stepan's injury could be a blessing in disguise as the rookies are putting on a show for the Blueshirts.

Today is 30 September 2014. In honor of Craig Bokenfohr and Ali Svoboda, there are 4 days until RPI's next game.

This is based upon 4 October 2014 for the start of next season.

Re: RPI Offseason Thread: Six Languages of Drivel

I an now breath a sigh of relief, not that I really had a cause to be concerned, but I just called the Field House (about 1 minute after tickets went on sale) and bought tickets for the Harvard and Dartmouth games on 11/7 and 11/8. For the first time I had made my hotel and airline reservations prior to getting the tickets.

Now I can worry about it snowing. :D

*note to self, pick the opposing goalies for these games*

RPI 2014 - 2015 thread: Union Busting

A bit pretentious. ;)

alas, possibly too close to proscribed political commentary in this day and age... :(

(translation: people today don't have the sense of humor they used to).

Re: RPI Offseason Thread: Six Languages of Drivel

and now for something completely different.

Fitting that we play Onion on Halloween and call it Black Friday, eh?

For that one game should we wear orange and black uniforms as well?

Perfect opportunity for those devishly smart engineers to trick and bewitch the dutchboys. A treat for the HFH faithful

Perfect opportunity for a tombstone on the front with RPI and on the shoulders the same but with RIP on them. And a shadowy picture of the grim reaper behind the tombstone.

They could have a lot of fun with this.

Has practice started yet? I look forward to the glowing early reports that always come out of the game against the Canadian team... great speed, this kid will score 20 goals... not! Hope we'll have a good number of people attending the following weekend to see how the kids do against good competition. Straight into the fire this year!
