RPI Off-Season Thread 2012 Part II: (Insert Title Here)

Re: RPI Off-Season Thread 2012 Part II: (Insert Title Here)

Agree on your point about goaltending. Last season, I noticed a bit of a difference between Merriam and Diebold: Merriam at times would break down (mostly mentally) after being scored against and sometimes this would snowball into disastrous results, while Diebold would tend to shake it off, get back up again, and still play at the tip-top of his game. Diebold, on the other hand, seemed to have a hard time finding a groove if put in net after Merriam was pulled. That being said, they are both great goaltenders, but I do believe that Diebold should be starting in net instead. His style reminds me a lot of York, very quick and lateral and stands on his head when needed.

Completely agree. I would love to see Kasdorf back up Diebold this year.

Re: RPI Off-Season Thread 2012 Part II: (Insert Title Here)

After his last season, I am trying to temper my optimism. :)

After his play at Colgate and what I saw at RIT, we should be optimistic about Diebold. The kid is a stud in net. Unfortunately, the same cannot yet be said about the 18 guys playing in front of him (albeit not simultaneously).

I was referring to Kasdorf, not Diebold.

What's the location? In a pay parking lot?
Lot D above the rink. I cannot say the exact time we'll kick off because the Hubster leaves for his last tour of duty that morning and I have to drive him to his point of departure. Suffice to say I'll be there some time around the noon hour to bake/heat food at the B.R.O.'s dorm room (conveniently located behind HFH!). Anyone who plans on showing up early please consider chaperoning me as I will be eager to stick my straw in a bottle of [insert name of adult beverage of choice here] and then make a total fool of myself among close friends! But I'll have my food and Irish Cream prepared before I go blotto on y'all!:D

Great!!! Babo, Mrs. Aspy will provide tables like last year. Just one slight correction. When we refer to SA, we're using the prefix Our Great Coach... Seth Appert.
Awesome on the tables...anyone who can provide more surfaces, please do so. As far as the SA reference, Aspy? I told you what I thought of your 'approach' :p TroyBoy: Can't you put a harness on him?

The BRO lives in Stackwyck? Or one of the places up on Sunset? Also, I thought Lot D is no more since the creation of ECAV, unless you mean E Lot.

As for the AspyDad's approach, I humbly agree. He's Seth Appert, not Kim Jong-Il.

I would offer to have Jenny on one side of you-and me on the other. But then who would hold us up?

He's been uncoachable since he was a kid. The die has been cast !

I would offer but I'm a wild card...I had my first drink in 20 years at the penalty box @ the Hilton w/babo last year who know this year. Bring on the lamp Shade !!!!!!!!!!!

Lawdy, Lawdy! Scary to think that there will be hoards of fans and family there in various stages of 'enthusiasm' and I invited the COACHING STAFF ...good thing there will be a Doctor, a Man of the Cloth, an under water acoustics expert (key component, especially in my anticipated condition?:D) and a myriad of scientific and academic experts...oh! and hopefully some musicians! We may even have some new parents who bring some secret weapons (I know some of the returning parents ARE secret weapons...). Can the 'cocktail' of attendees be any more complete, I ask you? I hope we can make it to the game on time...

I will offer to stand back to back with you TB...that way we can allow others to enjoy and hold up the fort at the same time!

The BRO is in the bottom of a brick block of a building. They have a great set-up and I hope they let me use their stove. If that happens, there will be magic...:)
