Re: RPI Off-Season Thread 2012 Part II: (Insert Title Here)

Boo everything and everyone who isnt wearing RPI gear, then follow him out to the bus and kick his butt, really show him whats up.....oh wait sorry forgot this is just a game.

I for one would not boo PK if he came back with another team. He chose to make a decision to better his future and it didnt include being at RPI. Hope everyone is enjoying the summer so far.

Re: RPI Off-Season Thread 2012 Part II: (Insert Title Here)

It means troyboy's trying to scare me into not booing when an opposing player touches the puck.

Booing your own players at the college level is unacceptable. The other team is fair game. About the only time I've ever booed a non-pro playing for the team I supported was Emerson Etem (even then, MJ is technically "pro") while I was at the WJC.
Not trying to scare anyone just trying to appeal to Your/ Everyone's common decency. Patty loved it here in Troy he put it on the line on the ice off the ice and in the classroom every day it just didn't work out for him. Im sure he just didn't walk in and quit. Im quite confident it was discussed by all concerned parties on all sides and the decision was reached that he wouldn't return next year. Im sure he didn't take the decision lightly nor did the coaching staff after all I believe he was the only drafted player in the program. Sometimes it comes down to what is best for the Young Man.I for one hope he returns to the ECAC and I get a chance to see him play again and talk to him and YES I will be routing for him to do well. ITS ONLY A GAME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Has anyone heard if Bergin is going to play in Sweden? Or is this something I should have asked in the alumni thread? I agree with everyone that PK did what was best for him. Think it stinks for us but I do not blame him and am sure anyone in his shoes would have done the same thing themselves.

Oh c'mon, TB don't go gettin' soft on us now. Next thing you know, you'll want trophies for everyone. :p

I have no animous toward young Mr. Koudys whatsoever and agree with your overall assessment. He is by all accounts a fine young man. That said, once the puck drops at HFH, I will root vehemently against any and all opponents, regardless of their race ,color, creed, nationality or previous collegiate affiliation.:D

I am sure that you are correct in your assessment of how things went down.
I hope that Pat finds what he is looking for.
One question, If he decides to come back to RPI, does his scholarship come back with him?
As far as rooting, if he is in a uniform that does not have RPI on the front, he is the enemy. Will not boo, but also will not cheer if he scores against us.

Same reaction if he comes back about booing or cheering.

I would think taht if he came back to RPI, a scholarship would have to be renegotiatied. In any case, I doubt that he would come back.

I didn't realize that trained was a synonym for annoying.

Yin and yang. You get the good sides of Ralph (all the stats, incredible information, etc.), and I get all the other sides (high post count, bad jokes, etc.). :D
