Re: RPI Off-Season Thread 2012: An Off-Season to Be Optimistic

Shameless solicitation time:
I'm in Writing For Classroom and Career, and the last essay of the year requires us to propose a solution to a problem. The problem I have chosen is that of the missing stage, something I know you all have plenty of opinions about. In order to demonstrate that my problem is "significant," my professor has suggested that I create a survey with which I can poll a knowledgeable population of RPI fans. So, if you have the time to answer 10 super easy questions, I would greatly appreciate it if you would click this link and respond to my survey. (Yes I know that Survey Monkey sucks, but it's quick and easy.) Thank you all for your time and such.
done.

There you go! Thanks for the comments section-I wrote you a novel.

my professor has suggested that I create a survey with which I can poll a knowledgeable population of RPI fans[emphasis added]

So why come here then?

Sorry, just kidding, couldn't resist the joke.

I filled out your survey and added that the "nationally renowned" RPI Pep Band is an integral part of RPI hockey tradition and deserves its own stage.

Depending upon how many responses you need for the survey to qualify as "significant," you might ask Col. Knowlton (or ask your professor to ask for you....) if they can send a blast e-mail to the members of the alumni association interested in RPI hockey. Also, if the Pep Band maintains an e-mail directory of Pep Band alumni, same idea....however, I'd check to make sure you aren't violating any anti-privacy statutes first, just in case.

I would think Kevin Beattie would be the better choice for that... or possibly post to RPISPORT-L? I can read the stuff, but because I used my e-mail-forwarding-for-life to set it up, I can't post there.

Mea culpa, although I could say that he was not inducted before Coupal. :p

Didn't you mean, "Mea Coupal"? C'mon people...just 'cause it's the off season doesn't mean your entendres are halved...:p

Filled out and cross-posted to the First Church page on Facebook. I sincerely hope your classroom effort will effect change.

Welcome home! Missed you. Stay around-the off season can just drag on so slowly without some wit and double entendres.;)

Re: RPI Off-Season Thread 2012: An Off-Season to Be Optimistic

Today is 14 April 2012. There are 175 days (25 weeks) until RPI's next game.

This is based upon 6 October for the start of next season.

That is the day that an exhibition game is supposedly scheduled.

Re: RPI Off-Season Thread 2012: An Off-Season to Be Optimistic

I just checked the survey and I had 58 responses, which is more than enough. Thank you very much to anyone who responded. For anyone interested, it was 57-1 in favor of the stage returning, which is about what I expected. Thanks again!

Got mine in the mail today, as well, along with the refund from this season's playoff tickets. Looks like season tickets went up $15 for next season vs. 2011-12, AND they did away with the "Receive tickets to two FREE games if you purchase before June 15, 2011 ... Fans receive one FREE game if purchased after June 15, 2011" promotion from last season. Oh, and no autographed team photo for 2012-13 season ticket holders, either. Not that this year's "autographed team photo" was anything to write home about.
