Re: RPI Off-Season Thread 2011 Part II: The Bryce is Right

Went past the fieldhouse tonight, and spotted a couple interesting things behind it - snow piles and stage pieces! http://a.yfrog.com/img620/6971/w8tas.jpg

Looks like the ice is already down, and the stage could potentially make its return in the fall (though given that the supports are all rusted and the pieces don't really appear to line up level, who knows how safe/useful it will actually be).

I don't think that Appert's camps are until August, so this is indeed early to have the ice down...love it. As for the D corps, I loved what I saw from the youngsters last year, and am VERY much looking forward to Curadi adding some MUCH needed attitude in crease patrolling. Opponents have taken way too many liberties in front of our net lately...often without consequences...completely unacceptable. In general, I think some here are gong to be pleasantly surprised by Luke's maturity and leadership right out of the box.

Hopefully, the opponents won't be taking Laliberte away from in front of their net. ;)

Bear (Baer?) with it RC. The puns will just keep coming now that RB has so much time on his hands.

Just so long as the Lodge rumors aren't true and he doesn't become like Funnybot and try to take over the world...

(South Park for those that are stuck in a corn maze)

Time on my hands? I don't know how I ever found time to work. :)

FWIW, I interpreted RC's remark as meaning that anyone pushing JL away from the net should be banned, not me for making puns. :D

When I closed the office I thought Jenny and I would have tons of time-you are right-I do not know how we ever had time to work. Something else interesting-although we basically can do the same things every day now-Sunday night for some reason still feels like we have to get ready to start the week-even though we have nothing to do on Monday.:)

Today is 6 July 2011. There are 87 days until RPI's next game.

This is based upon 1 October for the start of next season.

That is the day that an exhibition game is supposedly scheduled.

Double dipping? Toronto also reported that he'd be at their camp as well.

Perhaps they liked what Coach Appert did for D'Amigo... (when he was at RPI, of course...) I don't have the time to research this, but has it been typical that there have been correlations in the past where a team's ownership will look to a certain junior or college team (or even high school, for that matter) for players because of how they are developed?

Despite the proximity of the two cities, unless he hired a helocopter or has discovered time travel, I would think he'd only have the time and endurance to attend one... I look forward to the camp reports to see what Nick is up to.

Curious that the league home game against Union is on a Tuesday night, making for 3 games in 5 nights for both teams
