Re: RPI Off-Season Thread 2011 Part II: The Bryce is Right

The town where I grew up didn't lose power for long either, but since I was on the outskirts, we lost power for 5 days. Having lived up there for 15 years, Syracuse lake effect, although a different bear in itself, is a cakewalk compared to those 15 years (plus 4 from college in between semesters).

I love the Adirondacks-my family had vacationed and visited there for over 50 years and I worked in Speculator in the summers while going to Medical School in Albany. But for the most part, nothing much changes up there-and it is because the great equalizer is the winter. It is very hard and even dangerous to have to commute from there wintertime which limits earnings and job opportunities. It takes a special breed to live there full time. This is also why we kept the home in NJ and up until recently our other home in Florida (which we sold a couple years ago). I am glad that little changes up there-the Adirondack Park and its 6+million acre extent is still one of the best kept secrets. Most of it is still pristine and I truly hope it stays that way.

Much as I dislike Clarkson, it has been posted on the Clarkson message board that they have lost recruit Luke Juha to Penn State. A big loss for the whole league. That's probably worse than we lost H****y when we lost a coach. At least Juha waited more than 10 minutes.

That is a huge loss for them. Didn't they also lose another nice prospect to the OHL recently (to Ottawa '67s)? Juha (who presumably will play another year in juniors before going to PSU?) is a monster get for that program.

Yes, they also recently lost someone to the OHL.

Tea baggers has another connotation that I don't think you realize and I'm sure that DrD has no problem with Fracking because he is the highest form of capitalist. In fact, he might not have gotten those audi's under the onerous Obamacare.

Obamacare or any other payment program would have had little to no effect on my practice-I did mostly reconstructive skin cancer surgery which pretty much stands separate from many other fields of medicine. I also performed lots of cosmetic surgery which although desired by patients, is not reimbursable under any medical coverage since it is not deemed medically necessary. Most of our success, however, was due to the plain fact that we did not take any vacation time in over 30 years. When you work basically all the time it is pretty hard not to do well in medicine. Besides, I had Jenny in the office with me running the show as chief nurse and office manager-and when you work with nurse Ratchet you keep moving all the time-she never let things slow down.

Today is 13 June 2011. There are 110 days until RPI's next game.

This is based upon 1 October for the start of next season.

That is the day that an exhibition game is supposedly scheduled.

Does anyone have any thoughts about the possiblity of an all-freshman line in the upcoming season? I have been thinking about Laliberte, Neal, and Haggerty.

Interesting thought, but I would think coach would put the freshman with some older guys to begin with maybe. The freshman are going to push the older guys to get even better I feel. If they produce at a high rate then maybe put them together in a few games and see what happens. Either way Im still looking forward to the Twin Towers pairing on D of Curadi and Leboeuf. One can dream right? :)
