Re: RPI Off-Season 2013 Part I: We Will Get Our Title Next Season

How often do you make it a habit of explaining things to people that they already know?

Isn't that all of his posts?

Not counting the ones where he's explaining things that he doesn't know.

Well Doc, who are we rooting for, Washington plays the Rangers in Rd.1. Since I've been a fan of the Rangers since the GAG Line days.....Rangers. Great turnaround though by Adam Oates & Washington.

Mike Hermann was not drafted by the NFL.
No great surprise - given the steep slide of QBs the likes of Smith, Barkley and Nassib . I wish him all the luck , but certainly wish an organization other the Raiders had inked him. They're not exactly known for growing players....hopefully the new staff there will change that. Other local notables from SUNYA signed/offered FA deals -- RB Smith (BUF) and LB Jon Morgan (DET).

Did anyone from Cornwall sign? ;)

No way - gotta be an Oatise homer all the way! He's done a great job including waking Ovie up from his slumber. :D

I definitely root for the Rangers in this. When it is an RPI alum playing against the Rangers, I can root for him to do well, but his team to lose. It's hard in this case to do that.

The Caps did have a chance to get my loyalty when I moved here, and I had season tickets for about five years, but they were just too irritating.

No controversy here-I have been a Ranger guy since 1953. I still have my Camille Henry shirt, my Andy Bathgate hat and my a picture of my sister with Jean-Guy Gendron(player that she had a crush on). I love the fact that Adam has completely turned around the year for the Capitals. Now, I am hoping for a Ranger sweep and then some rest for the next round. Getting deep into the playoffs is all about having an easy time in the first and perhaps second round. These games are murder-these series can just drain everything from you. Even when the Rangers last won the cup-they were extremely fortunate to have 2 easy series before getting the Devils. Saying all that-I hope the Rangers can lure Oates away and get him to NY to coach. I wonder how much of an impact it makes to not have Marc Staal in the line up?
