I said league, buddy, not the entire NCAA. I'm not going to touch the NCAA argument with a 10 foot pole. ;)

liked the video of RPI hockey leading into the 1st & 3rd periods....good job to whoever took the initiative to try something

i liked the video as well. Looked awfully similar to the original pumpup video WaP posted...

I disagree. Anyone who can take a program like Union's to the level he has deserves a great deal of credit. He gets good players to go there and makes them better while they are there; and he has built a winning program with a national reputation from almost nothing.

Which is why he won it last year.

Thread Title - "When going to Atlantic City Bet on Red"

I like this one as well, but agree it is a tad too early for it. You know we'll need a new thread by March - I say keep this one in the back pocket for next go-around.

I went back & took a look at that video on WaP as well to see what clips were used. A lot can be done with the new board when the kinks (and money issues?) are resolved. I also liked the graphics showing team standings and league point leaders, although the point leaders went by too quickly for me...I never took the Evelyn Wood courses. I don't know, I kinda liked when they showed Cullen's moving profile after his goal, I didn't notice if the same was done for Chase. Would've been great to have seen JFK's checks last night on video replay....now those are "pump-ups", OUCH!

Kudos to Tom Reale. It seemed much of the video used was taken from his excellent work. His contribution to the program cannot be underestimated.

No but I saw you giving Hicks the heat after the game. Nice work.

That's the second time I've had to do that after a WIN. However, it could be worse, I've seen refs get chewed out by BOTH teams... AT THE SAME GAME!

Re: RPI MMXI III: Overanalyzing The Iron Men and Other Uses of Internet Bandwidth

Yes good face time. Hopefully it's louder in the hfh tonight :(

If it's any consolation, I was directly behind the penalty box. I got section 33 going a little bit, but hopefully a better job can be done today (Remember folks, 4PM start)

Re: RPI MMXI III: Overanalyzing The Iron Men and Other Uses of Internet Bandwidth

No band tonight either. There are about a dozen of them here for the games but they're not playing.

Re: RPI MMXI III: Overanalyzing The Iron Men and Other Uses of Internet Bandwidth

Do the band members pay anything for their tickets?

When I was manager all home games (including the tourney and winter break) were comped, regardless of whether the band played. The tickets were turned over for the entire season before the first home game. I assume that hasn't changed.

Thanks GR-I had thought that years ago their tickets were comped.

Re: RPI MMXI III: Overanalyzing The Iron Men and Other Uses of Internet Bandwidth

There needs to be some fire from this team this afternoon, especially with the hurt that the Big Green put on Union early in yesterday's game.

With regards to the Coach of the Year rabble, a coach of a .500 team doesn't deserve to be named as such, and I think that ECAC awards should only be based on ECAC play, but that's just my opinion. If the team can turn it on in the last half of the league schedule and take 3rd in the standings, I think that it would be an interesting ballot between Gaudet and Appert.
