RPI @ Miami 1/2/16

DrDemento

I Still bleed RPI Red
Nice to be in South Beach this time of the year. Oh, this one is not in Florida, it is in Ohio? If i was scheduling games for my team in the winter i think I would rather be down south. In any case, we need to win this series of games and start the new year off right. Go Red!!!!

We have had a very good first half. I believe that we have the makings of a very good hockey team. We score by committee and play team defense. Now if we can only clean up our play in our own end, there is no telling how far we can go.
Now lets start the New Year off with a win.

It must be our age. We are seeing exactly the same thing. Our defense has to play sharper and make quicker decisions with the puck. If we do that and attend to what everyone has mentions about faceoffs and how we approach special teams play, we could be playing a lot later in the year than the past few years.

Re: RPI @ Miami 1/2/16

I just leased a new car to start this year, now RPI needs to do their part.

Re: RPI @ Miami 1/2/16

My odometer just went over 100,000 today. :)
33 years ago I was shopping for a new car and standing in a Mercedes Dealership (I had never owned one at that time). I knew nothing about the cars other than the reputation that they were built pretty solid. I saw an older gentleman drive in for service (older only because 33 years ago I was younger) with what seemed like an older model diesel (??190D or older). I asked him about reliability and he told me he had no major problems in all the time he owned the car except he had to replace the driver's seat cushion due to wear of the leather. he had all sorts of badges mounted on the grill but I had no clue what they meant. I looked on his dash to see his mileage was about 22,500 and asked him how he had so little miles on such an older car. He said the odometer had just been through once a few months ago. So I assumed he had 125,000 miles on the car without problems. he corrected me by showing me that the odometer has 6 digits and that he had driven 1,025,000 miles without any major problems! I am sure things are no longer made that well but it sure made an impression on me and I have leaned towards German engineering for cars ever since.
BTW, I have not had the experience of cars being trouble free no matter who made them. Jen still thinks (and I agree) the best and most reliable car we have ever had is her 1996 Audi A4 6 cylinder stick shift. it may also be the best handling in bad weather and the most fun to drive. hope you can get your wheels to reach 200,000 or more.

They aren't made that well. In fact, vehicles are made with intentional defects in order to increase recurring revenue.

I would absolutely love to be able to get up to 200k. I bought my Trailblazer used at a little under 28. I assume we won't be playing Alaska again for a while :p (I didn't go this time, as I had already gone to Vegas a month previously), but I hope there will be some fun road trips in the future, even if it's just a summer trip. I still have 10 states left to visit, even though one's a little tough to drive to. ;)

Anyone interested can get video for $14.95 seems a little expensive, but I might go for it.

I might go for the month deal so i can see today and tomorrow. First I have to be sure Jen has no plans to have us out for either evening. Second i have to find her charge card! With the recent holidays I am not sure i can fill the cars with gas on mine.
