We looked very good this first period and deserve perhaps a better fate on the scoresheet. Several good chances and despite the only 2 penalties, come out even. Sort of wish our defense would not take so many shots when they have several opponents in front of them as they are almost all getting blocked or deflected back towards center ice and could lead to bad turnovers. Perhaps they need to hold the puck a bit longer or skate it in a little and try to give a few seconds fro something to be created. We are the faster team tonight and should be able to take advantage of that. officials seem to be fair so far but the slashing call we took could have been called on Miami earlier and wasn't. Just sayin........

I just noticed something: We have 13 left-handed skaters on the ice tonight (9 F, 4 D). I'm not one to usually complain about this given my personal dexterity, but does it seem like we have any angle issues out there?

13/19 is one of the higher percentages you see. I never noticed our roster showing that. Interesting - but probably meaningless.:)

Considering that we are playing basically the same lineup as normal, I doubt it.
