RPI @ Mercyhurst, Friday, 11/22/2013

Re: RPI @ Mercyhurst, Friday, 11/22/2013

Whatever is wrong and not working with this team-needs a lot of attention fast. They do not look at all like the team that played pretty well earlier against the HE schools. M penalty number 3-which will look a bit more balanced on the score sheet but comes a bit too late for any help. And even with the extra man we give up another ENG. This one will end 5-2

Not sure there is any individual blame here-this was a total team effort once we hit the middle of the second period. It was a case of no one doing anything. Effort and intent became lacking. The America One broadcast, as bad as it was, showed this clearly.

It's called Appert can't make in-game adjustments. We've been seeing it for years. This is why we have dreaded second and third periods.

This has been my thought for a long time and today was just another example of it. I did not see this team playing with fire or intent once we hit the 1/2 way point. Frustrating since i really see this team as being the most talented and deep one we have had in a long time. The defense was not there in so many ways-not on the back lines and not as a team. And when you just give up that tie goal or lead goal without having the firepower to answer back-you get this kind of result.
