RPI Holiday Tourney -- UConn @ RPI 11/26/10

Re: RPI Holiday Tourney -- UConn @ RPI 11/26/10

Two on one-Three on two, and nobody wants to shoot. Great scoring chances gone by the boards because ob ill advised passing.
Period ends 2-2.

Re: RPI Holiday Tourney -- UConn @ RPI 11/26/10

The shots in the 2nd period were 14-7 in UConn's favor. The total is RPI 27 UConn 23.

In case this comes to pass, could someone refresh my memory?

What is the RPI tournament's rule governing a situation in which the score is tied at the end of three periods? Will they play sudden-death overtime until somebody scores, no matter how long it takes? Or will they play one five-minute overtime and go to a shootout if nobody scores?

Do you know when it changed? Obviously in 01-02 it was play til someone wins because our game against Q-pac was at least triple OT, but last year LSSU ended up playing in a couple of shootouts.
