RPI Hockey 2015 - 2016:: Six Flags Over the HFH

The story isn't that the replay system mysteriously failed, it's how Schroeder and Appert again demonstrated why the hockey community has so little respect for RPI, it's players, and Seth Appert.

“I got it out from the goal line,” Schroeder said, “and then I don’t know what happened after that. I saw when Cam made the initial save, when it was trickling in, I got that out and from there, I couldn’t tell you.”

“Zach made a good defensive play,” Appert said. “He dove for a puck and he whacked it from behind Cam and then it hit Cam and it was laying under Zach, I think, and apparently didn’t go in...We have four officials on the ice and they were in good position to see. All four didn’t see it go in." That's a remarkably detailed description of what happened - all by a coach who suggested he missed the obvious fact the puck was resting in the back of the net.

Schroeder and Appert both know exactly what happened, and they know everyone else does also. It is any wonder why high-character players don't want to be associated with RPI and Appert - and why ECAC coaches so disrespect him? While RPI was fortunate to get the point, Appert and his player missed a chance to begin turning around the classless reputation of RPI Hockey.
If you knew just how many times RPI has been screwed by blown/missed calls in its own building, you'd realize how silly you sound... The rest of your baseless sewage riddled post has been rinsed away with the outflow from the HFH restrooms, where it belongs.

DrD,

What would you proscribe to treat the vapors? ;)

A lobotomy would be first choice but if that did not work, I own a Beretta 92S. Just ignore the troll. Everyone has an opinion and even if it is moronic, the anonyminity of the web makes every feel so brave and secure that they express it. Just ignore it just i ignore 99% of the medical information posted unless it is from a reliable source like the Mayo Clinic or one of the well known teaching hospitals.

I still don't think that Vaportrail is Hokey. He even has posted a positive (and correct) comment about RPI.

On a positive note, I've seen Drew Melanson play in the USHL, and you'll be happy with him next year. He'll make a difference for the Engineers.

Granted that might be the only one. :)

Wicked Slappaahs: "If you knew just how many times RPI has been screwed by blown/missed calls in its own building, you'd realize how silly you sound..."

Has it occurred to you that the the calls you whine about incessantly may in part be attributed to the reputation of Seth Appert and his cast? It's not just the ECAC coaches who disrespect RPI Hockey. Thanks for making my point more clearly than I could have hoped to. If Appert demonstrated a bit of integrity and humility, I expect you'd be more satisfied with the officiating.

DrDemento: Be careful with your Berretta 92S. As an early (trials) model 92, I encourage you to check the rear of the frame for metal fatigue: The 92S has a nasty habit of failing and sending the slide back into the face of the shooter (hence the USN SEAL preference for the Sig P226).

Exactly how many of the ECAC coaches have you talked with concerning their opinions of Seth Appert and RPI hockey? Can you name names. It is great to be anonymous and throw out what ever you want, but I would like to hear exactly where you came up with this information. Also, the regulars on this thread are all RPI fans, it would be nice to know what upstanding program that you are affiliated with, so that we can judge their integrity and humility.

Thanks for the warning. I will have Jenny bring her 357 Colt Python 6" nickel plated for back up if necessary.

Nothing to add, just wanting to LOL at a Union poster crowing about "high-character players."

Calls should not be made on historical team reputation. They should be made based upon what happens at the moment. Because Gerry Beauclair may have been a bit dirty 40 years ago, calls should not have been going against us ever since. We have recruited some very clean players, but they get penalties based upon historical team reputation. Mike Prapavessis, a defenseman, had just one (1) minor penalty in his final junior season 2 years ago and won the OJHL's Most Gentlemanly Player award. http://ojhl_site.stats.pointstreak.com/playerpage.html?playerid=6360060&seasonid=11218

And how can a fan whose coach is Rick Bennett talk about integrity and humility?

Sir, you have no integrity. You and your ilk apologized for your coach Rick Bennett hitting one of our players. Your barn is a joke like the clown you have behind your bench. That is all.

I'll apologize in advance for not genuflecting before the doors of the Bennett-Bodie-Wilkins Center for Fair Play & Sportsmanship.

Re: RPI Hockey 2015 - 2016:: Six Flags Over the HFH

While I'm a fan of college hockey, and I attend an equal number of RPI and Union games, I prefer to associate with a winner. Congratulations on a stunning 5-4-2 start. It looks like RPI may overachieve relative to the past decade, and could win more than 36% of games this year. Good to see Bentley's not on the schedule.

Correction: Good to see only one Bentley game this year.
