Thoughts from last night
Bubela is impossible to get off the puck
But sometimes holds onto it longer than he should and has ample opportunity to pass. But, you are pretty much right and he is the hardest to stop from scoring on a breakaway we have had in some time with his creativity with the puck

I watched SA's interview and there were no questions about Tironese's injury. That seems strange to me. Anybody hear anything about his status for next week?

They probably knew that SA would not have answered the question.

Re: RPI Hockey 2015 - 2016:: Six Flags Over the HFH

I was just looking at the RPI page in Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rensselaer_Polytechnic_Institute, and noticed that the motto is listed as "Why not change the world?" Have we gotten rid of "Knowledge and Thoroughness" or is this an error in Wikipedia?

As far as I know, "Why not change the world?" is more of a slogan than the school's official motto. The seal still says "Knowledge and Thoroughness."

I do not like the first motto listed at all at this stage of my life. I think the second (and the only one I ever knew from my years at the school) describes the mission of the college better and is something i have tried to subscribe to for my entire post RPI life. Thanks for bringing this up RB. I had no idea that both statements were listed for RPI.

I always liked the fact that unlike most schools, RPI's motto was in English. Although "Why not change the world?" is also in English, I agree with lugnut92, that it is more like a slogan than a motto -- something to be used on ads. ("Clarkson still sucks!" would work too. :D )

Re: RPI Hockey 2015 - 2016:: Six Flags Over the HFH

We also knocked Union out of the poll. Of course, they garnered one vote. Any guesses whom that might be????? Cough** Schottsie***Cough

If it is Ken Schott, he isn't admitting it. From his blog http://www.dailygazette.com/weblogs/schott/2015/nov/02/college-hockey-slap-schotts-hot-harvard/

Somehow, Union received a vote in Monday’s USCHO.com/NCAA top-20 poll. The Dutchmen were swept by RPI, 5-1 and 3-2, over the weekend. Union looked awful in the 5-1 loss Friday. The effort was better Saturday, but didn’t translate into a win.
